Online Marketing – A global view

The biggest recent trend in global Online Marketing has been a highly discussed move, namely advertising on Social Networking sites, blogs and other sites that have sprung from the ever growing Web 2.0 movement.
Social Networks, mainly Facebook and MySpace have been the most talked about amongst these developments. The reason these two sites have become as successful and popular as they are is that they have placed their main focus on the users and the interaction amongst users.
Facebook advertising for example allows demographic user targeting. When I log into my profile from London I see different adverts to the ones I see when I log in from Dubai. This makes me feel that the adverts I am seeing are tailored to suit me.

Maktoob As7ab – Up from 6 million to 38 million Page Views!
In March, As7ab’s Page Views recorded 38 million - up by 32 million from October 2007 and 1.1 million unique visits - up by 800,000. Now is the opportunity for reaching a massive number of Arab users who are connecting on the web.
